In December 2024, the architecture magazine Igloo published a feature in its issue no. 223 / 2025 on a project led by architect Cristian Ghitau and developed by BTFArch Ro Company. CMD/LA was part of the design team, contributing the landscape architecture project. The publication highlights the project’s innovative integration of architecture and landscape, underscoring the collaborative effort behind its contemporary vision.
In 2024, The ICONIC AWARDS honored One Cotroceni Park, designed by X Architecture & Engineering for One United Properties, with the prestigious Winner distinction.
Developed on a 5.5-hectare site of a former industrial conglomerate, the multifunctional complex integrates more than 250,000 sqm of office, residential, and commercial spaces. Conceived under the holistic “live / work / play” philosophy, the project gives back to the city a vibrant community enriched with green areas, sports and wellness facilities, schools, retail, and innovative workplaces.
CMD/LA contributed as landscape architects, alongside an international team of engineers, designers, and consultants, shaping one of Bucharest’s most significant urban regeneration projects.
In December 2023, One Cotroceni Park, designed by X Architecture & Engineering for One United Properties, received the Excellent Architecture distinction at the German Design Awards 2024.
Developed on a former 5.5-hectare industrial site, the project redefines Bucharest’s urban fabric through an innovative mix of offices, residences, and commercial spaces, creating a new vibrant district – ONE Cotroceni City.
Praised by the international jury for its sculptural volumes, striking glazing, and terraces that enhance quality of life, the project stands as a landmark of contemporary urban regeneration in Romania. CMD/LA proudly contributed to the design team with the landscape architecture project.

CMD/LA was part of the design team, responsible for the landscape architecture component. The article emphasizes the integration of seaside living with contemporary design, where architecture and landscape work together to shape a unique residential environment on the Romanian coast.

CMD/LA was part of the design team, responsible for the landscape architecture project, contributing to the vision of transforming a former industrial site into a vibrant multifunctional community.
In 2021, CMD/LA participated in the prestigious Golden Trezzini Awards, category “Best Implemented Landscape Architecture Project,” with Ramatuelle by MRS, and received an Honorable Mention.
The project was evaluated by an international jury of some of the most influential figures in contemporary architecture, including Norman Foster, Santiago Calatrava, Daniel Libeskind, Toyo Ito, Mario Botta, and Mohsen Moosavi. President of the International Council and Director General of the State Hermitage Museum was Mikhail Piotrovsky. Their presence in the jury highlights the high standards of the competition and the recognition CMD/LA received on an international stage.
Starting in 2009, Cosmin Coman joined the Romanian Landscape Architects Association (ASOP), first the ASOP West branch, then ASOP Bucharest.
In the autumn of 2005, Cosmin founded the CMD/LA landscape architecture studio.
