Industrial Landscape Project

Green infrastructure for industrial spaces

Plast Vision, a company based in Bucharest, commissioned the redesign of its exterior grounds, transforming a vacant lot into a landscaped outdoor space for employees. The industrial landscape architecture project creates an engaging dialogue of pathways that weave across the front of the office and production buildings.

The design continues the theme of geometrization, a hallmark of industrial landscape architecture, with tree alignments of Fraxinus ornus Mecsek and Aesculus carnea Briotii. To break the potential monotony of straight angles, several lines intersect the main diagonals of circulation, executed as white concrete borders that contrast with the green lawns.

The vegetation is predominantly deciduous and was supplied with the expertise of Natural Design. In addition to the aligned species, the landscape plan includes two massive rows of birches and three Platanus acerifolia, which over time will be trained to form a vast green canopy above a recreational zone with two ping-pong tables. Near the decorative basin, a dense group of Phyllostachys bamboo is proposed, while behind the covered patio area a layer of Cotoneaster horizontalis provides texture and seasonal variety.

Benches for relaxation are placed along the main pathway, designed in stone (concrete) with clean geometric shapes and wooden seating surfaces.

The overall concept is to create a modern, minimalist outdoor space defined by strong, straight lines and striking plant forms. The result is a youthful, energizing environment tailored for office, protocol, and industrial contexts.
